Our practice is a licensed dental office located in Florida. We primarily provide in-person dental and cosmetic services. In limited circumstances, we may offer telemedicine services in accordance with applicable federal and Florida laws.
Telemedicine services are offered only when clinically appropriate and are limited to:
Telemedicine services do not replace comprehensive in-person examinations when such examinations are required for diagnosis or treatment.
Telemedicine services are provided only to established patients who have previously been evaluated in person by a licensed dentist of the practice and for whom a valid dentist-patient relationship has been established.
Telemedicine encounters may be conducted via telephone or secure electronic communication platforms. The modality used will be determined based on clinical appropriateness and patient needs.
Prescriptions issued through telemedicine are limited to non-controlled or short-term medications, when appropriate, and only after an in-person examination has established a valid dentist-patient relationship. Prescribing decisions comply with Florida law and applicable professional standards.
Cosmetic injectables, including Botox® and dermal fillers, as well as temporomandibular disorder (TMD) injections, require an in-person evaluation and treatment. These services are not provided via telemedicine.
Patients must provide informed consent prior to receiving telemedicine services. Consent includes acknowledgment of the nature and limitations of telemedicine and the option to seek in-person care.
All telemedicine services are provided in compliance with HIPAA and applicable Florida privacy laws. Patient information is securely maintained within the practice’s electronic health record systems, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
All telemedicine services are provided by dentists licensed in the State of Florida, in accordance with Florida Statutes §456.47 and Chapter 466.
